As the Somber sun sets,
so we remember those who gave
their efforts, their hearts, their lives.
In such that they should save and
preserve life and all its serentiy.
As a harvest moon rises,
so we think of the lives of innoscence
who would brave the skies and go on
with life and everyday things.
Brave and bold even in danger,
their lives end as the snuft of a candle.
Yet our candle vigil stays alight.
As dawn stretches beyond the horizon
we hope the souls of those whose lives ended,
found their way to God, and pray for their families;
as a new day brings with it life once again.
